Pool Pavilion
Suburban Philadelphia

Working within the confines of existing landscaping and circulation patterns, this new pavilion provides amenities for recreation and entertaining adjacent to an existing pool. Thoughtfully located to shield the pool from a near-by street, the pavilion works together with existing buildings and a hedge of mature trees to capture space around the pool deck, creating an outdoor space that maintains its openness, yet feels protected and secluded. Constructed in a palette of durable, natural materials carefully selected to complement those of the existing house, the new structure anchors the pool deck to create a setting that is cohesive and connected to its surroundings.
